Teacher of the Year - Lindsay Shaver

Hi!  My name is Lindsay Shaver.  I am currently in my 13th year of teaching.  I taught Kindergarten in Banks County for 9 years, but am SO excited to be “home” and teaching Second Grade here at LES for the past 4 years!  I have my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and my Specialist’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I have a wonderful family including three children (Sam, Sadie, and Sawyer) and a wonderful husband named Jason.  We love taking family trips to the beach, going for walks, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs!  I adore children and absolutely love my job!!

I believe every child has the opportunity to be the best that they can and achieve goals that are right for them. I strive each day to provide a positive learning environment for all students.  I want all children to be given a chance to reach their fullest potential no matter what it takes.  I believe the teaching profession is a calling and one that I accept with open arms.  Being named the 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year for LES has been a very humbling experience.  To be voted on and chosen by my peers is an incredible honor.  LES is the best!!
